County of Avon.

Bitton Road Runners
- Bitton Road Runners is a running club based in the east of Bristol which
caters for all running abilities.Founded in 1986 to help people better enjoy the sport of running, they are a
thriving club with over 200 members in both junior and senior sections.

and west AC - If you're interested in Athletics and
Running it's the place to be. Whether you are a serious athlete or just run for
fun and fitness everyone is welcome.
Clevedon AC
- Clevedon Athletic Club is a thriving and friendly running club, based on the
North Somerset coast-line 12 miles from the City of Bristol. Formed in May 1977,
they have gone from strength to strength and are now a major force to be
reckoned with in the South West – regularly producing notable success on the
road as well as team achievements in Relays and Cross Country leagues.
Great Western Runners
- Whether you enjoy 5km or marathon, recreational or
competitive running, you're sure to find like-minded friends in GWR. They are a
well-established running club affiliated to UK Athletics, with nearly 250
members of all standards, including one third women. They also organise a number
of local races, such as the popular summer Towpath Series.
Sole Sisters
- Sole Sisters is Bristol's only all women UK Athletics affiliated running group
based in North Bristol which offers support to beginners as well as more
experienced runners. It doesn't matter what standard you are - whether you are a
marathon runner, or just run for the occasional bus. They usually have two
groups of women who run distances of four to six miles.Sole Sisters has over 100
members so there will always be somebody who runs at your kind of speed.
Thornbury RC
- Thornbury Running Club has a new group which is aimed at people wishing
to start running, who would normally be frightened off by joining a "running
club". Initially they would be looking to run and walk for approximately 30
minutes and build up to slightly longer times/distances to enable people to join
the intermediate group if they wish, who are capable of running for up to 45
minutes. The club meets every Thursday night at The Castle School, Park Road at
7pm and currently has a membership of 90 runners, all of different standards.
Their age range is from early 20's to late 60's with a high proportion of lady
runners.
Town and Country Harriers-They
meet every Thursday for training runs from some of the best pubs in the area and
across some of the finest routes and countryside around, usually less than a
thirty-minute drive from Bristol. Their members compete in many multi-terrain
races in the region, often as a team, and also have their own internal club
championship.
